The Association Green Man – Institute for Active Democracy and European Citizenship (Monza, Italy) searches partners in Europe for the project "The pioneers of Europe – pioneers of peace", within the framework of Europe for Citizens Programme (Action 2 "Active civil society for Europe" - Measure 3 "Support for projects initiated by civil society organizations").

The project aims at describing situations, stories and local sites in Europe where war was prevented or stopped because ordinary people organized peaceful action or non-violent resistance against war. An Internet Website will be developed and the project will encourage creative writing, video production or dramas, role-plays and games, 'peace' trips and walks on "peace European landscapes", storytelling on "Pioneers of Europe – Pioneers of Peace”.

Partners should be associations and networks of associations working in peace, culture and/or youth sectors. The deadline for the partner search is 10th February 2008, as the deadline of the call for proposals is 15th February 2008.
