INTERREG – North West Europe Announcement (IVB)

The INTERREG IVB North West Europe Programme provides support to transnational cooperation projects that seek to improve territorial development and cohesion in the North West Europe area. The second call for proposals will be launched 7 April and will close 9 May 2008. The application pack will be online by the end of January 2008. Now is the right time to start thinking about your project. Ideas can cover a number of themes including:

  1. Developing the NWE knowledge-based economy by capitalising on our capacity for innovation
  2. Improving connectivity in NWE by promoting intelligent and sustainable transport and ICT solutions
  3. Promoting strong and prosperous communities at transnational level

Projects are encouraged from regions, districts, cities, universities and public-private partnerships. To help you with technical questions please contact the Joint Technical Secretariat based in Lille, France. Further help and assistance with partner search is provided by the network of Contact Points in all Member States. www.nweurope.org

INTERREG 4 C

The first INTERREG IVC call for proposals was launched on 21st September 2007. We understand the Secretariat is planning a second call from June to October 2008, although final dates will be contingent on the level of demand under the first call that closes on 15 January. It covers the two thematic priorities of the programme: Innovation and knowledge economy and Environment and risk prevention, with the two types of interventions: Regional Initiative Projects and Capitalisation Projects.
