This programme aims to develop exchanges of experience between European cities, particularly those who have been involved in the URBAN Programmes implemented by the European Union since the late 1980s.

The URBACT II Programme Manual is now available and provides details on the implementation, functioning and management of the different URBACT II operations. A presentation on the first URBACT II call is also available. The call takes place in two-stages, with a first deadline for Declarations of Interest, which closes mid-February. The approved Declarations of Interest will then go through a development phase between April and October 2008, with decisions on the actions to be supported for the implementation phase being taken in September for Working Groups and November for Thematic Networks.
